Ep 2: The Internets, The Club and The Newbies

Episode 2 is up!  Click on the header link to be taken directly to it and hopefully iTunes will have it up by tomorrow.

I know it seems like we’re cranking them out (and we are), but we want to get up to some of our more current episodes that we’ve done (since we’re so much better!)

This episode we get into our thoughts about what we’ve found on the internet – the pluses and the minuses. We also talk about what we’re looking forward to, and afraid of on what will be our first trip to the Swingers Club in our area.

We’re trying to keep the continuity of our cast, but we through in a fun little break- hope it makes you giggle as much as it did us! :)

  1. I just started listening to your podcast and as my wife and I are looking to enter the swinging world have started catching up on the old episodes. So far I’m liking it a lot, so keep it up!

One thing that was mentioned in your podcast (not certain if it was in the first or second one) was the existance of so many fake profiles on websites like AFF. Having toyed with business plans for various kinds of dating websites over the years I can give you a little more insight in that. Yes, part of it is people who’re looking for photos, etc., but that’s a relatively small part. The main issue with dating websites is turn over… if people can’t meet who they’re looking for, they’ll go somewhere else… if they do meet who they’re looking for, they also leave the site. Either way you loose he people. If you don’t have enough active users in a given area, people from that area will go somewhere else. So sites like AFF spend massive amounts of money on advertising to attract new users to replace the ones that are leaving. They also constantly generate fake profiles to make the site look more active than it really is. People want to be on the site with the most potential matches. AFF is #1 and does whatever it takes to remain #1.
